The latest version, 1.54, adds more content and features to Gran Turismo 7. The update is available from 20 November 2024 and adds new vehicles, enhanced AI features, new racing events, and more.
New Vehicles
The update includes five standout cars as follows:
- 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth — the Turbocharged Rally Hero with Double-Decker Wing;
- Mercedes-Benz W 196 R ’55 — this is one of the most legendary Formula 1 cars, winning races and championships throughout the mid-1950s with racing greats such as Juan Manuel Fangio behind the wheel;
- 2020 Porsche 911 Turbo S (992) — the most recent 911 variant ever made with the most exceptional performance;
- Porsche Mission X ’23 — An ultra-modern electric hypercar concept that illustrates Porsche’s high-performance EV ideas;
- Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC ’18 — A mini off-roader with iconic styling and functionality.
These will be available in-game for players to purchase at dealerships, including the game’s Used Cars and Legend Cars sections.
Expanded AI Capabilities
The advanced AI agent, Gran Turismo Sophy, now features expanded functionality, allowing players to challenge it on two additional track layouts (Trial Mountain Circuit and Tokyo Expressway – East Clockwise).
By expanding the single-player mode the player has more opportunities to try your hand at AI opponents.
Collection Events and Café Menu
World Circuits organized three new competitions which included the Jimny Cup at Gran Valley Highway 1 alongside the Porsche Cup at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca and the Race of Turbo Sportscars at Mount Panorama.
Cafe Menu introduced the Ferrari Speciale Collection Extra Menu at Collector Level 48 for those who acquired specific Ferrari models.
Customization Changes
New Engine Swaps — certain vehicles already have additional engine swap options for even more customization.
Wheel Customization — added new wheel Rotiform wheels, and new options from American Racing, KMC, and Motegi Racing.
Scapes Mode — a new location in “Colorado” that gives you beautiful views to shoot.
With this update, Gran Turismo 7 stays true to the series values by providing a casual and hardcore racing experience perfect for any level of player looking to satisfy that racing itch, keeping it as one of the premier racing titles available.
